Whats a decent brand that actually has a coffee taste? Not as a drink but to use in cooking? I have a jar I bought because I wanted to make these cookies but the coffee it makes on its own tastes like ass and smells a bit like dog treats.

Or would cold brew work better?

I find most brands instant coffee not very tasty, and freshly brewed is always better, but some brands aren't bad, and they get the job done. A lot of instant coffee tastes sour to me, and i can't handle that in my coffee.

It works sometimes. I used to drink it a lot growing up... we didn't have many options, it was a small town.

I still drink it sometimes, mostly out of comfort and nostalgia.

My usual go-to is some fresh beans which I grind and brew most mornings.

Trying to quit coffee, and instant crap has been great for it. Can make it a cup at a time, as weak as I want, and the flavor is so bad I don't even have to pretend I like it. I'm down to one cup of coffee, with half a spoonful of powdered poo. Ibuprofen for the headaches. Doing all right.
