Is anyone else thankful that we live in times of such abundance of food?

Like holy shit, the amount, variety, and quality of food available to the average American would be unthinkable a century ago, and a century before that the average person ate grains, potatoes, and milk three meals a day. Today, a poor person, if he spends his money right, can still have a delicious, nutritious, and highly varied diet. A rich person can visit restaurants of exceptional quality cooking food from all over the world.
