>frozen corn/green beans/carrots
>insists on putting elbow pasta in it instead of just making some on the side

I visited my parents last year. Dad was pretty grumpy. Went to frige to make a sandwich. Full refrigerator, literally no sandwich ingredients or anything else remotely edible. Not even any ground meats in freezer.
