I've discussed this so many times with my wife, peers and colleagues. It doesn't make any sense.
I have no idea how pumpkin tastes.
I don't have a concept for pumpkin.
It is the wierdest shit ever because I literally use my sense of taste for my profession and I am really good at connecting and identifying taste.
It's like there is a blind spot in my brain when pumpkin touches my tongue.

Literally just roast one and try it. Some cultivars do taste pretty good without seasoning.

I roasted a pie pumpkin the other day but don't know what to actually do with it. I'm thinking of blending it smooth and then learning how to make fresh pasta with semolina flour and making pumpkin raviolis

It looks so fucking good but I don't have a blender..

>> No.14912268

>>14912187
Roast the pumpkin till soft. Scoop out into large pan. Add stock. Simmer for ages. Pumpkin will break down and you'll end up with a thick soup. Use a potato masher too if you want. Blenders are just a convenient quick fix.
