My girlfriend broke up with me years ago because I went to a sushi restaurant for the first time with her and ordered "tuna sashimi" thinking it was going to be a nice teriyaki tuna steak or something, and they brought me a little plate of raw fish. I told the waiter "uhhh, you gonna cook that for me, chief?" and he laughed chinkishly which just pissed me off, and then I spent like 5 minutes in an argument over it that led to the chef coming out to explain things. Has anyone here had genuine wasabi? I really want to try some but I imagine it's pretty much impossible to get in the states. I've heard even a lot of cheaper places in Japan settle for mustard/horseradish because real wasabi is precious
