Lets share some creative hacks to upgrade your average ramen. I'll start

>add milk

I’ll cook like 3 slices of bacon and then put it in the bowl before I pour the ramen in

Bagged coleslaw mix, preferably the stuff with extra carrots and no red cabbage.
Fresh green onion
Use Better Than Bouillon with some soy sauce and chili garlic sauce instead of the seasoning packet

Coconut milk is nice added, especially if you add something spicy as well like chili sauce.

hard/soft boil eggs ahead of time, and then top the ramen with them

strain the noodles use about 1/3 to 1/2 the spice packet on em to make them the perfect side dish.

I like to sautee some onions, brussels sprouts and mushrooms on the side and then throw on top, if your feeling /really/ fancy some of that cheap flap steak seared for 30-45 secs a side is perfect thinly sliced on top.

I mix those together and use them as a dipping sauce for unsalted pretzels.
Not ramen, I know, but it's still a nice combo.

I usually just julienne whatever veggies are on hand like carrots, celery, onions of any kind, etc.. Add in the mix packet and spices like cinnamon, pepper of any kinds or whatever (sometime basil, oregano, tarragon, sage or whatever's on hand from the garden) then stir for a while. Then the water. Let boil and add the noodles. Get the newspaper and mail and when I'm back they're usually done enough. Add a cracked egg and let cool off a bit. During that time the egg cooks up and I devour it.

The only gross thing is the dregs at the bottom of the bowl of broth when I'm done drinking that. Things like the the herbs and pepper. I usually don't drink those but I'll fish out any remaining goodies like noodle bits or veggie pieces.

Butter. It gives it a rich silkyness.

In all my years, I have never actually tried that even though it's perfectly obvious. The French nailed it in their stuff. I always just added an egg and the yolk made that same rich silkiness. I assume real butter is way better for this than that margarine stuff.

I kinda thought the same thing. It's supposed to be pork marrow (tonkotsu) and not milk. Would probably be better off with that butter suggestion.

It says right on the package ya dingus
>Mix all the seasoning packets together in a dish
>Boil noodles
>Put in dish
>Toss around to coat with the seasonings

Throw some browned meat on top and some veggies cooked in the leftover fat, or maybe a fried egg, and you've got a surprisingly decent meal.
