I just bought one of these on amazon what am I in for?

>> No.14885970

Using it a few times, realizing it's a pain in the ass to clean and going back to just chopping and crushing garlic with your knife

I do have a dishwasher and it's still a pain in the ass to deal with.
I don't want garlic shit getting all in my dishwasher

Have you tried a pressure washer?

I use mine almost two times every week. I do use a lot of garlic though.

You're a fucking twit. They're a quick and easy way to get garlic into your food. Just rinse it in the sink before putting it in the dishwasher.

I've got one of those German ones that opens up. Dead easy to clean. Fingernail brush and some water gets the job done in seconds.

It's good if you're feeling lazy or if you're doing a lot of garlic, it will save you a little time. They're super easy to clean.

>dishwasher
literally just wipe it with a sponge or scratchpad like any other utensil

a small brush works well

crushed garlic
literally useless if you're not making more than 4 cloves
other than that, it releases more garlic flavor more quickly, so i guess that's good.

Regret when you realize a microplane does what it does but better and with loads of other stuff too.

Looks like you bought a cheap shit one since it was from amazon, a decent one like from zyliss has a little tool that fits in one of the handles that'll clean it up with no problems, also clean it right after use instead of leaving the leftover garlic to dry.
These zyliss ones are well made and will last a lifetime.

This. If I really need minced garlic, I just mince it. It takes less overall time than digging out the tool, crushing the garlic, picking out the parts that won't go through the holes, rinsing it off, putting it in the dishwasher, and then washing it by hand later when the dishwasher didn't get into all of the nooks and crannies.

Useless. Use a microplane or a knife.

Appliances with only one use are a waste of space and money, just get a better knife game.
