AlAlso souy sauce, worcestershire, fish sauce, etc. are good choices for burgers and you probably like how savory the soy sauce made it. But just the soy sauce alone probably had enough salt. Of course everyone has their own preference but if multiple people are complaining about the salt then just add salt to your own after if you want more.

1/4 cup of soy sauce is around 3.5g of salt, and from what I saw most recommendations for salting one pound of meat range from 2.5g to 5g. I don't know why OP didn't say how much salt he added though unless he wasn't measuring that. Most people are probably only used to burgers that have a bit of salt sprinkled on the outside so adding that much directly into the meat will seem too salty to most people especially if you add cheese, bacon, premade condiments, pickles, etc. since that stuff all has salt in it too.
