Pretty sure ONE restarted the webcomic a while back. To be honest I would love to see Tatsumaki's tism fit and resultant spanking.

Is this one of those gimmicky appliances that does a bunch of things half-assed? If so wouldn't a dedicated appliance be better?

>> No.14874082

depends on what kind of convenience you want
can't say about pressure cookers because I don't have one
but I have an air fryer and slow cooker and of the two I use the air fryer a few times a week and the slow cooker a few times each cold season, mostly for stew or slow cooked chicken dishes

the air fryer is great for wings and if you eat a lot of fried frozen shit, also great for reheating pastries

I've made loads of air fried tofu as well

It's an actual Instant Pot pressure cooker, so no.

How's it not? You can leave the house and run errands while food cooks without much risk of burning whatever you cook. Set it and forget it.

I have one and it's pretty comfy. One really nice thing about instant pot or ninja foodie type things is the time compared to a normal pressure cooker. The heating element is inside and is electric so your stove doesn't have to heat up a super thick piece of steel or aluminum like a normal pc. The only downside is that most dedicated pressure cookers have more space if you want to can a lot of things.

I wouldn't recommend an electric for canning, they don't reach high enough pressure. Where they're great is in precision.

With an air fryer all your nutrients fly off. You gotta use a proper deep fryer to lock the nutrients in the food.

A pressure cooker, no question. Allows you to make delicious stocks, stews, and many slow cooked dishes in a fraction of the time. Many of them also have a slow cooker mode, making them strictly better than a slow cooker. An air fryer (aka mini convection oven) is usually a waste of time, if you want something like that the best implementation is in a toaster oven, which is much more generally useful than an air fryer. If you don't care about waste energy or the few extra minutes of heat up time, just use the convection mode on your oven.

tldr: pressure cooker actually allows you to do things you can't do with anything else in your kitchen, slow cooker is a waste of time, air fryer is a waste of space.

Don't fall for it. The other two are way better. Take a look at jewtube vids to see what you can do with both.

Slow cooker is convenience to have food unmonitored for hours. You'll like it to park food and have the ability to leave your kitchen, your house even. It's almost never the best way to cook whatever recipe your park in it, but it will simmer bean soups and stews without burning the bottom from lack of stirring. They also benefit people who eat hours apart due to shift work or busy families. You do not need a black friday deal to get a crock pot. They are cheap 24/7. If you do pick out a model, an oval device might be for you if you do roasts like chickens. But but all means, get something with an electronic control, with the longer warm function that will come on automatically at the end of the cooking on high. I like a glass lid vs plastic, but to each their own. Removeable ceramic liner. Baby crock pots are awesome for hot creamy dips or keeping butter hot for seafood nights. The baby sidekicks come free in some brands.

Pressure cookers actually have benefits to save time for getting tenderness. It makes the most delicious rich gelatin broth fast, takes tough braising cuts to the point of fall apart tender, and for cultural food with beans, dry beans to tender fast. People who use them all the time make some one pot recipe meals in under 45mins all the time. Ehh, I use mine most of all for my homemade meaty bbq sauce, a chicken stock that is my base for tortilla soup and matzo ball sick person's soup mood, and chunky beef stew. I'd rather use my crock pot for 15 bean soup because it keeps the beans intact better on low.

I don't have an air fryer but that is certainly a black friday deal to get, as prices are wildly different in sales. People who eat alot of frozen prepared foods love them, dropping in chicken wings, frozen ravioli they bread, chicken fingers, etc. Most of all, people who have fried foods in their diet enjoy them for homemade chips, plantain tostones and it might be nice for partiers.

Many people bitch that the new Slow Cookers burn their food compared to the older ones so consider that.
Air Fryers are apparently very usable if you're a tendy fan (not bullying my sister basically lives off that shit with her Air Fryer).
Pressure Cooker is something you gotta know you'll use and is great for making beans and certain meats (so if you're Hispanic you'll get a lot of use out of it).

They're also really good at making rice. They beat the expensive zojirushis.

You also get amazing short ribs in under an hour.

And they're great for making congee.
