Got some of these shipped in from the fatherland last December.

Had the north american iteration of these guys all my life, but they were my favorite as a kid. Got some authentic German-made bags sent in to compare them, and now I can't go back. These are so fucking good.

Does anyone else find the gummies tasted better when they were firm?
They advertised they were softer at one point and I didn't find them as sweet anymore.
I kept buying from my supermarket that had old stock, till they ran out. Now I don't get any Haribo anymore.

My gran ran a candy shoppe for 45 years and I'd get to have the old gummi baggies, the ones past expiration date, hard but not stale. I liked to chew and chew and chew on the suckers til my jaw hurt, they taste less sweet because you have to dissolve the candy in your mouth to actually taste the sugar.
I'll still sometimes open the fresh bags I buy and let them air dry for a day or two before eating them

In UK we only get 3 kinds. Star mix, super mix and tangfastic. THATS IT. There are so many varieties but shops only ever stock those 3. Its the same with crisps and other snacks. ALWAYS the same flavours till the end of time.

Dollar Tree has/had something called Haribo Passport where they put their different regional products in one bag. My favorite is the Brixx. Tart and chewy. You can eat a lot of them without that sour candy wear happening on the roof of your mouth.
