Most service stations and just about every bakery has a pie warmer. Popular varieties include curry pies, potato pies (a mashed potato lid instead of pastry), chicken pies. Beef mince pies, chunky beef pies, pasties (vegetable or veg and lamb) and a lot of places will also do sausage rolls, cheese and spinach triangles etc.
The unofficial state dish of South Australia is the ‘pie floater’ which is a meat pie served in pea soup.
My own favourite is a ‘tiger’ from Harry’s cafe de wheels in Sydney. This is a pie with mashed potato, peas and gravy (pic related). Sorry I couldn’t fit in any jokes about ‘hot carls’.

We love pies, but beef mince pies are the main type we have here. Chicken and steak pies exist but are not as common. Egg pies also exist but are even less common. I have personally never seen a pepperoni pie or a pie with spinach in it.
It's strange that they don't have mince pies which is our main type of pie, as in probably 80% of pies sold are mince pies to the point where we just call them meat pies or even just pies and everyone knows what you mean when you say that. So no, those aren't really what I'd call "australian" pies. But yes we do eat savory pies quite a lot.

I saw these and passed by them even though I pretty much need tv dinners for work where I'm at now. AUS isn't particularly renowned for food, even though they have a solid brewery, and hipsterfag pub restaurants, just like in the rest of the former colonies. But your typical US consumerfag doesn't think much about AUS other than "muh shrimp on tha barbie". Outback Steakhouse is the only thing that comes to most peoples' minds here. So I don't really get the marketing angle with these.

I've never seen a real bakery do pies with a puffed up pastry lid, it's always flat.
The whole idea of "those aren't Australian pie fillings" is somewhat warranted because the most popular are usually steak or lamb based, but I've never seen a bakery that doesn't have a selection of odd or uncommon fillings like chicken and leek, peri peri, or curry.
