If you live in the USA, unless your lease says that you can’t have pork products in the house you can tell them to go fuck themselves. Make them fight it out, open an escrow account to deposit rent into if they won’t take it and stand up for yourself.

I have two rentals.

One is leased out to two broke girls. The other one is a brodude who likes video games and sports, and has his buddies over all the time.

I gave them a break on their rent this year, every other month they have to pay me.

The girls needed it more than the guy, they are both servers at local gastropubs and haven't worked much this year. He's got a real job, Environmental Engineer, he goes around dredging up muck out of rivers and channels. But it was only fair to him.

I also got each of them a gift basket for Christmas, the girls got fruits and a bunch of soapy girl shit that my woman picked out for them, the guy got a bunch of craft brews and meats and cheeses.

The dude complained about the toilet, it was a small discount model, so I got him a big tall long toilet and got one for the girls too, they loved it.

It's fun being a landlord and I have about $320,000 in equity built up in those two houses. I live in a single-wide trailer on 10 acres on a dirt road, I am surrounded by woods and I don't work.
