Aha ha ha. Another bait post.

However if you are making Macaroni with Cheese, microwave some of this stuff cubed up, stir the liquid with a bit of milk and white pepper for a better cheese sauce that comes in the box.

it was wrapped in foiled paper.
>It's not even proper cheese, is it?
it's made with whey so it legally can't be called cheese in the US, but it taste like smooth slightly smokey cheddar.

It's called "Processed Cheese Food" for a reason.

It's similar to the individually wrapped cheese slices you can buy in the US, but has the ability to make cheese sauce quite easily. It's... Low quailty as compared to much else.

Interestingly, it's been around a very long time, used to come in wooden boxes, not cardboard. Many children of the 20's 30's 40's and 50's had wooden Velveeta Pencil boxes at school.

How long was it aged in the foil wrapper? Where did the smokey flavor come from? How cheap is this rubbish?

My sister used to work on a farm in Vermont, not as a farmer but as an educator for school visits and stuff. She always sent cheese back home, though, and this was the best.

Like 4 bucks a brick, the smoky flavour likely comes from some added amino or something

The nice thing about velveeta is you can mix it with real cheese to make smooth, creamy cheese sauces with a lot of flavor.

For me, it's Neufchâtel. Quite good fresh but the inside is not completly done. You must unwrap it and let it ils and dry for 2-3 weeks. The you have a uniform core and a powerful yet sweet taste. Sorry, i'm a shitty frog. Will cont. Eventually

Then, there's this shit. No, no no, THE shit. It's Comté. But not any comté. The 36 months ripen or cured comté. The cheese is dryer but more salty, more intense. The little crystals of salts melts in your mouth while thé crumbly texture of the comté develops on your tongue
