I grew up poor, so basic sandwiches were always on the lunch menu for us as kids. The cheap processed cheese slices with a few slices of that square processed ham on white bread with mayo, mustard and lettuce was and still is one of my go-to comfy sandwiches.

These are the cheap sandwiches that go great with chips inside too. When I'm going somewhere that I know I'll need to bring food, I'll probably bring a few of these along with chips and fruit and water.

If I'm in the mood for sweet, there's nothing better than super chunky peanut butter and raspberry jam on white with a glass of ice cold milk. Cozy as fuck.

Listen, there is no pretense that anything I listed is "healthy" or even "good quality". OP's question was for comfort, not quality.

This is my favourite sandwich:

Buttered white bread
Spread mayo on both halves and generously dust with ground black pepper
A finely sliced tomato with a pinch of salt on it
Wafer thin ham (lots of it)

DIVINE. Also it must be cut into quarters diagonally, that's very important.

Imagine posting on a food and cooking board yet not knowing the difference between grilling and frying.
You should probably go back to /b/.
Retard.
