I recently discovered it (via local restaurant) and I love it. I'm working my way through their menu. So far my top 3 are Tosilog (pic related), Daing Bangus, and Kare Kare. Though I've also had galonggong, tortang talong, pinakbet, lechon kawali, gintaang crab, ginisang monggo, and paksiw bangus. The only thing I haven't loved was the stuff with bitter melon, which is just a little overpowering to me. Say what you will but they offer great taste and huge portions at dirt cheap prices (at least my place does). Their lumpia funny enough is not that great, i've had better made by Americans.

Torn between Adobo chicken, Dinengdeng, or Shrimp Gambas the next time I go. Really gotta get some Halo Halo before summer leaves for good too.

a lot of people who enjoy this type of cuisine often say it is underrated, but it really is underwhelming. a majority of it is meat based dishes drenched in an overwhelming amount of salt and oily liquid, you have no choice but to eat it with white rice to balance it out. only way to make them more enjoyable was to go non-traditional just to make it less bland, usually going with a more thai or japanese approach to the recipes.

Flip dude that works at our place brought in "phillipino spaghetti" once. It was sweet and he said to eat it cold. Wasn't a huge fan. Really want to try some cuisine though.

Jollibee is a meme, I disliked it growing up but I did come to like the spicy version of their chicken. Adobo is a popular dish, but it can be too oily for foreigners. Then I asked her what she wanted to do. She finally got smart and said she wanted to go home. So I took her home and dared her to start trouble.
Before that incident, I had never laid a hand on her. But I had always threatened it. I told her "one of these days, if you don't straighten up, I'm going to lay hands on you."
All my meals have been on time, and she just recently tried to make a meatloaf. It was mediocre, but I was just thrilled that she tried.
