Damn skippy thats the same seasoning as mine but i coated it in a pound of butter and basted every hour or so on low heat before searing on as high as my oven would go. Just got a cheapo smoker and stoked to start experimenting with it.

I use a pellet grill that has a dial for temp control (it's not exact though so you still need to check on it). I believe it took around 3.5 hours at 350-375F.
