My gf who likes this shit hole was saying how it's really a woman's store. That got me thinking. I feel like women are more indecisive, so by dumbing down the decision making process by only allowing one type of anything gives comfort to these more simple minded creatures.

>> No.14729799

my experience today:
>My gf made me go to one because "zOMG bbUMPKIN SPICEE SEASONAL SHITTT!!!"
>agree even though I never get anything
>standing off to the side of an aisle holding the basket because the gf can't hold the weight for too long
>some fat autistic boomer woman going through every individual bag of chips for some reason some 4 yards away
>look the other way
>look back and she's going full speed with the cart in my direction
>go wtf and jump out of the way
>put my hands out like wtf and look at her
>she is just looking straight ahead going full speed
>finally get to the old guy cashier
>go up to where the card reader is
>"I'm not going to scan anything until you step back on that flower" referring to this faggoty flower sticker to denote where to stand
>see no one is around me
>"uh, ok"
>remark to the gf how tf that makes any sense
>see some girl go the line next to us
>she just goes to the card reader and is chatting with the cashier
>we're both like wait why can she do that
>old guy makes no eye contact or conversation and is just ringing stuff up
>"ok I need your card."
>we walk up standing right next to the woman in the other line that we were supposed to be social distancing from.
Fuck this place. Anyone that likes trader joes is a faggot that will be hung on the day of the rope. I hope their shitty little franchise goes out of business.

I think TJ's is pretty rad.
Their products are unique and are rarely shit tier like the low quality store brands every other store shits out.
Their products are also extremely competitively priced compared to like products from other stores, you can't beat their prices on wine, cheese, frozen goods, snacks. Pretty much everything they sell will be as good as and much cheaper than a comparable product from a competing store. Not sure what isn't to like

I have two IGAs where I live one is really dumpy feeling and takes me back to my childhood despite not having lived where I do now when I was a kid, and the other is rather new and has a lot more specialty items.

not him but when you are stacking chicken quarters at $0.29/lb, Boston butt at $0.89/lb, whole turkey at $0.29/lb and $3.99/lb rotating ribeye/NYstrip/shortribs/brisket it pays to read a sales paper. That is not even including shit like loyalty programs. I don't have a gas station in my rewards programs, so I get $5 back every $100 spent. Plus college id is extra 10% off that adds up fast.

They have good frozen food, the kerrygold is cheaper there than the other grocery stores near me, when the drive-thru for the nice liquor/beer store is too busy they have the best selection of local beers.
Also their shampoo is relatively cheap and isn't filled with phosphates and other shit.

Missourian here. We view Trader Joe’s as a novelty fancy-pants shore. The Midwest is very much saturated with local competitors, and a lot of them do really solid business. It can be difficult for big established brands to break into towns and cities with a firm grasp on their existing grocery market. Hell you see that in convenience stores even.
