Who gives a shit about what an american bag says about food
Unless they literally sprinkled some nutrient powder over the processed rice there is nothing to loose that is not also included inside the grain itself

I do for basmati. It reduces the extra starch but I mostly rinse it because it comes from fucking India.

>> No.14673944

I soak mine for 30 minutes and then give it a good rinse. Makes the rice either to both cook and clean.

Yeah that's only for the enriched rice you find in the USA. Not sure if other countries do this. It's just some dried powder or something like that. If it doesn't say it's enriched then you're not rinsing off anything. Besides, the enrichment probably isn't very absorbable.

Yes. Uncle Roger making fun of that nigresse is forever burned into my memory

I don't rinse Nishiki and Calrose rice. They are Musenmai and don't need to be rinsed.

Nah way too lazy.
My rice method is 1x rice. 1.5x water, some salt.
Add to pot
Bring to boil
Turn to low, timer for 10m
Turn off, timer 10m
Done! So easy!

If I'm doing sushi rice I'll rinse, if Indian I might pre fry in butter

How would you feel about apples with nutrient powder on the outside and have people tell you not to rinse it because it removes the nutrients. There are better ways of getting nutrition

I generally like to infuse my rice with my sister's unwashed underwear. I run the water through her panties to extract the full flavour.

Made a delicious hot Indian curry last weekend with pussi-rice and served it to my parents and grandmother. Mouthwatering. My sister was at school though and missed out.
