Wrong board, but you're saying walking is cucked because you're not being cucked. I can only conclude you're a quarantine newfag who should have lurked much longer.

if these fags want me to contribute to the economy, they should actually give me money. money can't be liquid if it's sitting in hard assets and corporate bank accounts, faggots.

If you actually take care of your car your maintenance costs should be no more than $200-$300 a year AT MOST including inspection and registration and then a new set of tires after a few years for like $700. Oil changes are negligent, and even with a $500 emergency fund again, if you take care of your car and drive defensively you’ll probably never need to even touch it.

Insurance is the one big kick in the dick, but I’d rather pay $1,750 a year and be safe than drive uninsured and risk having to declare bankruptcy because either I or someone else had a second of poor decisions.

fuck owning a car, i have one but they are literal money pits that you are required to have if you live in 90% of the US. gas, insurance, maintence, registration and inspection are all nothing but burning money. before my last car broke down i didnt pay for insurance or register or inspect it for 6 years, fuck that. i drove it at most 5 miles a day and there were still times it would be in and out of the shop for months.
