My dad worked at a certain ice cream based fast food chain as a teen for a summer job. Employees would straight up unplug the ice cream machine thing and tell people it was broke. They started losing business from pissed off customers so the manager worked the kitchen and found out the machine was unplugged. At first, he just thought it became unplugged somehow without human intervention (before security cameras were a thing) and plugged it back in. The entire staff got waxed when one kid fucking clipped the cord with wire cutters and called it a day. They really hated making the ice cream that much

You guys have no idea, the thing takes an engineering degree to run. Usually there was only one person working in the store that knew how to take care of the maintenance. It has like 500 tiny parts, takes hours to dismantle and scrub clean and then you have to use enough lube to fuck OP's mom a thousand times on all the little parts and reassemble it just right and if you lose a single O ring or don't get it just right it will blast ice cream in your face. Frozen yogurt isn't worth it, some things were just not meant to be.
