Last fair I went to was thrown by a friend that owns a few restaurants so the food was top notch & one of the local breweries had fair inspired beers. Love me a giant turkey leg. They also had watermelon with a mint pesto sauce, that was actually amazing. Usually get a bunch of beer & canned cocktails. Funnel cake is always nice. The fair was only one day but I was there the whole time. No fair this year though.

I live in a poor county with a lot of wineries. a lot of rich people have homes here so the summer fairs are relatively fancy while the regular restaurants are all cheap garbage like regular summer fairs.

So I will sample all of the expensive cheese and all of the wine at every tent while also walking through the shitty arts and crafts holding a 32 ounce thermos filled with rum and diet coke at 1pm.

Then grab some fried fish or wings on the way home.
