Can someone exlpain the complaints/gripes about the pay for colored people in BA?

I dunno if I'm missing something but the white chefs/content makes seemed to be getting more views than some of the other staff so IDK how they're calling out BA for paying them less if they're not getting as much, if not more, than the draws... To add to that people genuinely seem to wanna see more of the recipes made by the white chefs (seeing the viewcouints on them)

If i remember right, the white actors of similar "level" got paid more for no real reason. If people didn't come out and say how much they made it wouldn't have came up.

Also in the case of where it's like "hey non white person, what do you think of this?" and come on the episode, they wouldn't get paid anything extra for appearing in videos while the white cast members would get extra for appearances.

I mean if you wanted to be paid by skill, you wouldn't work in a channel wherein one capitalizes on their appeal to people (i.e. personable I think is the word?); It all boils down to what people want to see, and I don't think people asked to see Sohla or the other non-whites, but I really think if they were truly good in their work, they wouldn't have to call attention to the fact that they aren't pushed and just find another way to excel (their own channel perhaps? or another content provider?). You'd be stupid not to hire a draw if you looked at the person as a black/white/mexican/asian person, I'm sure these Conde Nast big whigs just see dollar signs and pander to the personality who is the proven draw.
