What're we drinking rn people

Pic related is not bad for the price. Kinda boring but more pleasant going down than a lot of $50 cognacs.

Don't hold back on autistic opinions but please be polite

The online praise for this is spot on. Don't let the price or plastic bottle mislead you, this shit's better than Stoli, which is better than Tito's, which is about the same as any shit tier vodka.

I bought 3 bottles this week.
Penderyn Myth. It's fantastic. Light, fruity and sweet. I bought it because I had tasted Penderyn Legend and it was good (but nothing alike). There's a Celt and a Peated that I'd also be keen to try.
Compass Box Spic Tree. Spicy, woody, a little boozy. I'm not that impressed. People said not to shit talk blends until you tried Compass Box, but I'm left wanting. The wood needs to be balanced against something, and in this case something intense. I might give another one a go in the future if it's peated or heavily sherried.
Game of Thrones Clynelish. A little less complex than the 14, but the same flavor profile. However unlike the 14, this one is intense. Which is great, I sometimes had trouble tasting the 14. Would buy cask strength / other Clynelish bottlings again.

I'd still call it luck though. I have not found other brands to be of consistent quality across different bottlings. Ideally I wouldn't buy anything I haven't tried before, but pubs are closed and sales are shit.

Just had a Negroni. Had weird gut pain the last week that I'm trying to ignore. Don't know what's causing it and don't really care anymore.

Probably not so much for this tier of brandy, but mixing it with creme de menthe in about equal parts makes a stinger - tastes like a York peppermint patty. Excellent nightcap.

Psychedelics have been shown to decrease the desire to abuse alcohol or drugs when taken in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
If you're against psychedelics but want to quit drinking then you may have just chosen the hard way.
(Getting psychedelics in some places is quite difficult (I understand that but there is still "hope", regardless).

There are lot's of other things that are hard to quantify that are very useful like the right balance of: family, faith, self-love, love of life, the right belief systems, etc.

Love Clynelish 14. That game of thrones thing sounds great. I hope to encounter different age statements/iterations of whiskey from the Clynelish distillery in the future

Thinking about how disgusted I feel with myself after a night of binging has kept me from binging for months now. Maybe you need to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Is moderation possible for you? It might be. But I'm not you.

Seconding this. Shrooms are a godsend for quitting. May take a few good trips, but it absolutely works.
