Papa john's is barely edible when it's hot and "fresh" right out of the box, but even if you're a professional competitive eater, that second slice is always going to be stale, flavorless cardboard, and unlike literally every other pizza place, it's somehow even worse cold the next morning.

I tried a Dominoes Brooklyn style thin crust pizza recently and it was worse than any frozen pizza I’ve ever had. It was super dry, is this normal?

I got a Papa Johns gift card on my birthday, so I thought I'd get this too.
It advertises itself as a pizza where they put cheese and pepperoni to the edge of the crust. All that really amounts to is extra pepperoni because they didn't even really try with the cheese. Not at all worth a special promotional item. It's just an XL pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. As basic as you can get.
Also I haven't had Papa Johns in ages since I usually go for a mom & pop pizzeria, so I didn't know what to expect. The pizza itself tasted very mediocre; Something to do with the sauce.
All I was thinking while I was eating it was that I wish I got a gift card for literally any other pizza chain.

Like most pizza places they have their dough pre-portioned, they use a large dough ball instead of an XL doughball, it's not a huge difference. They're trying to copy dominos brooklyn style(uses medium for an xl sized pizza) without actually exactly copying them.
