The Whopper is great as long as you ignore the cheese.
A chargrilled flavor is nice, mayo, lettuce, tomato marriage to make your own special sauce as the tomato breaks down into the juices.
The issue with BK is that their demographic is preteen through college. Adults just don't want to go there. And, that's it. They're just a victim of fast casual competition in their price bracket. There are choices that are actually not fast food at this price, and they never much had a dollar menu that kept Taco Bell and McDs in business all these years.. Are they actually great? Their fries have been shitty ever since they catered to vegans who were pissed and felt tricked to find out their secret ingredient was beef tallow. They new ones are just weird, so they lose the comparitive game against Wendy's and McDs again, and the only alternative is onion rings, which arent bad since they do have the sauce that mimics the bloomin onion.

This, but unironically. Fast food is popular for a reason. The ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD loves fast food. Put up a McDonalds in some obscure asian city and it becomes the most popular thing overnight.

The food tastes good. It just does. Contrarians who say "oh it's soooooo bad!" are fucking pathetic.

Whopper is bigger for approximately the same price but the Big Mac is definitely better and you cannot deny it.
Also the Whopper is the only barely edible item at Burger King the rest is trash and bland, the worst part about BK burgers is the sauce it tastes literally nothing, it's just so bland.

I'm not talking about fast food in it's entirety. Both mcdonalds and burger king have good stuff, but not those two items. Dry-ass beef covered by shitty sauce and horrid almost expired vegetables. I rather get some fries and a large delicious milkshake or a couple of small cheeseburgers which actually taste decent.
