How is this shit so BASED?

less sugar + more spices compared to most other bbq sauces. it's not bad. it's actually closer to what original ketchup recipes were like too, which also didn't have as much sugar and used more spices, if you want to use it instead of ketchup too.

What separates it from sweet baby rays?

>> No.14526499

>>14526489
Mostly sugar content. Sweet Baby Ray's is about 43% sugar, Stubb's is about 15%. With Stubb's you taste more tomato and spices, with SBR it's more sugar and smoke. Should just be considered different styles of BBQ sauce I guess, so use whatever you like, but Stubb's is pretty good.

What's the deal with that?

Isn't removing them from the packaging "erasing the black experience" or some other leftist crap? Why are the libs happy to see those mascots get removed when they're ranting about increasing the visibility of niggers in other contexts?

>> No.14526626

>>14526610
Yeah no fucking idea why they are trying to remove it. Maybe because they are references to when blacks were slaves? But isnt one of their whole things that like black people built america despite being slaves and we need to forever worship and thank them for that?

Who knows, leftoids are broken people, eat more bbq

Fuck me sideways. I never bothered with the stuff because I'd pretty much given up on commercial sauces. They always seemed too sweet to me, no matter what price point they were coming in at or how obscure. I gotta get me a bottle of this shit.

Yeah, Aunnt Jemima was based off of minstrel shows and the mammy stereotype, but the 'face' of Aunty, Nancy Green, used the power given to her as a spokesperson to fight for equal rights. Best they could do, IMO, is keep Aunty but provide a little history on the back of the bottle, talking about Nancy Green, the face behind the branding.

Stubbs green chilli sauce is fucking amazing on basically everything. You dont need heeps of sugar for killer bbq sauce. I want to shake mr.stubbs hand.

>> No.14527108

Stubbs is basically the only non-sweet BBQ sauce I've seen that didn't come by the gallon, bless 'em for not staying an HEB exclusive

no way, it's his legacy. he died 25 years ago but his love for cue sauce lives on.
aunt jemima and uncle ben aren't real people, just caricatures

I miss their marinades, about all you can find now is chicken. The pork, beef and steakhouse marinades were so damn good.

It's my favorite store brand BBQ sauce. It's the closest BBQ sauce I can find to the sauce at my all time favorite BBQ joint. My BBQ joint's sauce knocks this stuff out of the park though, it's that fucking good.
