Hi /ck/,

I'm making a hot dog vending machine.

Please list what type of sausage and condiments you like on your hot dog.

100% pork, no condiments.

And I'm not saying this as an edgy dig at pork-eschewing cultures. I'm saying this because pork (and pork+veal) hot dogs are the only ones worth eating.

Think first about getting a territory, if in NYC for instance any place is a tough place also think about where you're going to get your stuff from. It's not random in established places.
Do you think that you're going show up randomly and start selling stuff in someone elses territory, without a license? Good luck.

I've already looked up the cost of opening a hotdog stand and it's 5k here in Toronto, but the funny thing is there is no mention it has to be manned, so i'm going to make it a vending machine with a battery.

The only rule is it can't be in the same spot for more than 5 hours.

I wish you luck but that seems like it would cost a lot more than some guy manning the thing, maybe even a cute chick with hot tatas. You'll have to watch the thing 24/7 and then make sure its got stuff in it for patrons etc, the list goes on compared to what some guy can do.

You get crazy winters also, have fun carting that robot thing around.

nono. you don't understand.

it's 5k for the licenses and you need 2 million in insurance just to be able to have a stand.

The machine should be around 1k to build

You tell the government where you want to put the stand, submit a crude drawing on paper with your application and they approve it if you're lucky.

I find it funny that your application will be denied if you have been convicted of a criminal charge in your life time.

You can't vend dogs if you're a criminal.

Nathan's all beef franks. If you're in texas, nolan ryan hot dogs. just any good hot dog, really. preferably on a roller and not in water.

I think you'd do well to focus on mustard. many different kinds of mustard. Yellow, of course, but also cuban mustard, smoked mustard, spicy mustard, dijonaise, etc. also fuck it, cheese whiz too. both of these can be stored and dispensed pretty easily.

Those unapologetically thick and long chorizo dogs are amazing. They don’t even need any condiments but fried onions and ketchup go well
