I heard melon and citrus should never be eaten cold. It's meant to be eaten warm / room temp.

Some say cold melon / citrus is disgusting

Never tried hot/warm fruit as I've grown up believing it to be sin, as for serving with spices I'm sure I've seen pineapple served like that, albeit on a food show.

I don't like hot/warm deserts like apple pies etc. But I had Thai fried fish which was served with fruity tangy curry, like mango and similar. (the menu didn't breakdown the contents)
But to be fair, the tang fruit combo with whole fried Snapper was very good.

Maybe mango/melon could be good to experiment with.

All fruit technically should be eaten ripe off ground or barely hanging on the stem of the tree.
But we are human and like to experiment and cold fruits give a different experience.

Tastes/ripens better room temperature. I keep all fruit at room temp on my table in a fruit basket
