Somebody who can afford to pay for a bottle of Armand de Brignac, at the 300%-inflated price a strip club demands, is very unlikely to post on a Kazakhstani earhair braiding forum like this.

2k for 125g of Beluga caviar sounds like an awful lot. But then again it goes for 1200 at the Kaviari house. So maybe the resort has a HUEG margin on it.
How the fuck does a loup de mer costs you 150 per kilo. 270 per kilo for lobster ? Wth
1 Mathusalem of Dom Perignon Rosé costs 50k, checked. https://www.millesima.fr/champagne-dom-perignon-rose-vintage-coffret-gold-2000.html
The Dom Pérignon Jéroboams brut go for something like 10k, I don't find it too crazy for the price of the rosé version to go higher especially since big resorts usually stocks Jéroboams and do great margins on it.
But they don't stock Mathusalems, which makes me think it was a custom order on which they didn't factor any margin as a *geste*.
Also

Veuve Cliquot is my champagne of choice, I love the granny smith apple taste and the mousse on it is unmatched imo. Their Grande Dame '08 was gifted to me by a friend and is to this day my favorite I've yet tried. Dom is great but too expensive, and I feel house Moet et Chandon has seen a deterioration in its quality over the years; that said, I plan to buy their 2012 Vintage rose just to try out on a whim. Their non-vintage was super cloying from what I recall, and I hope the 2012 will have a less muddied and over saccharine flavor to it.

>> No.14378384

cremant du jura and champagne are directly comparable, same process, same grapes, just one region over, the only difference is the ADC and branding of the word "Champagne" that allows them to to charge an extra 100 dollars or more.

As for prosecco, when it comes to the cost/benefit ratio, i'd rather drink a 20 dollar bottle of good prosc than a 200 dollar bottle of good champagne. Will the champagne taste better? yes. Will it taste TEN TIMES better? no.

Fuck the french, they aren't the gatekeepers of good wine that they think they are.

And my experience with Italian bubbly is that anything actually labeled Prosecco is commoditized. They do plenty of good shit under other names. Look for Alice or La Collina for specific wineries. In general I love Col Fondo’s, they’re left unfiltered so they got a more lively sorta funk.

because of the pressure to do what "normal people" do (I assume have a conversation that leads to sex) I left immediately and was so angry with myself I went to the gym and lifted weights and ran on the treadmill for 4 hours after chugging a dangerous amount of caffeine powder
I didn't drink any water at all
I then bought a $150 bottle of some random champagne to "celebrate" what a fuckup I am and chugged it while extremely dehydrated and having eaten nothing for hours
needless to say it gave me a terrible headache and I associate champagne with misery and self loathing
