Am I really getting over 100% my recommended amount of cholesterol when I merely have my 2 fucking eggs for breakfast? And only for a measly 12g of protein?

I might as well just eat egg whites and eat a big spoonful of peanut butter for more protein and less cholesterol

High total serum cholesterol is still linked to a myriad of health issues.

Stick to egg whites OP

Dietary cholesterol doesn't do shit unless you're a fat fuck. The more you eat the less your body produces cholesterol to compensate. Eat as many eggs as you want.

The government recommendations are outdated and stupid. Do your own research on current nutritional science and stop following the FDA's guidelines. They also recommend you get no more than 50g of protein per day.

There's nothing wrong with cholesterol or saturated fats. We used to cook shit in lard, butter and beef tallow. Now that everyone uses vegetable oil and margarine people are even more unhealthy and obese.

The cholesterol recommendations suck. Cholesterol is not bad for you. Cholesterol is a macromolecule used to carry fats throughout the blood stream. You need these carriers. The problem isn't the cholesterol but the kind of fat the cholesterol carries. Highly-processed Polyunsaturated Fats that come from vegetable oils (Sunflower, Soy, Canola, Grapeseed, Corn, "Vegetable") are the real problem.

People have been eating eggs for thousands of years, there is no evolutionary two-egg limit. It's more likely that the modern consensus is wrong than that eating eggs -- packed with nutrients designed to foster the growth of living organisms -- are actually bad for you to eat.

Eggs are fine for most people. The link between dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol is not as direct as you might expect.

But eating large amounts of cholesterol is only very loosely associated with high serum cholesterol and only for some people. And cholesterol-lowering drugs even if they are successful at lowering your cholesterol do NOT lower your risk of heart disease. I think the science in this area is really pretty garbage. If you want something to worry about in your diet worry about refined carbs not cholesterol.

Entirely due to higher infant mortality. Infants rarely suffer heart attacks from cardiovascular disease.
