Tastelets need not apply: what is your favorite vegetable to eat plainly with absolutely no spices or other ingredients, raw or cooked?

>> No.14310867

Bell peppers

>> No.14310872

Carrots. I used to pull them out of granny's backyard garden, wipe them off on my shirt and eat them.

Out of the garden? Fresh peas or ripe tomatoes still warm from the sun. From the store? Probably bell peppers, radishes, and cucumbers.

Raw veggies are bad for you. They require at least some processing before we can derive proper nutrition from them. Even dedicated herbivores need to eat constantly just to maintain. By processing, i mean any sort of preparation, not just the industrial shit. Cooking, fermenting, soaking, ets are also acceptable, so long as you remove/denature the toxins, and render it actually edible.

Cucumbers. A cold cucumber in summer is super refreshing. But in colder months I prefer carrots, with the peel on.

Honourable mention to tomatoes fresh from the garden. Store bought tomatoes are pretty meh by themselves, but.

Actually many vitamins and antioxidants are broken down by cooking. There's a handful that need processing to be absorbed like niacin in corn though. Also diets high in processed foods put you at risk for stomach cancer.
