I remember begging my mom to get me this shit as a kid and being kinda disappointed, the chocolate chips were just little flakes, you couldn’t even taste them. Captain crunch still reigns supreme in my book as the best cereal with fruit loops and lucky charms coming in 2nd and 3rd. I have a soft spot for honey bunches of oats but I rank them in a slightly different category of cereals, even though they are just as sugary they are marketed towards adults more than children so they go in the 1st place spot for adult cereals. All cereals are garbage for you though besides plain shredded wheat and if you count oatmeal that is also good for you.

Cereal is a based dessert breakfast, the best type of breakfast. Dessert has been scientifically shown to wake you up in the morning, on par with coffee. It has nothing to do with the sugar content, it's an entirely psychological reaction to do with mood elevation, and I can attest to the power of ice cream and nesquik cereal for breakfast in being able to get me out of bed at 6 am

One time when I was but a child, I took a bowl of Captain Crunch to my bedroom to eat at my desk. This was in an era before Home Computers and Eating Desks, so I consider myself something of a trailblazer. I spilled some of the milky Captain Crunch on my desk, but didn't clean all of it up very well. Days later it had dried into an incredibly hard, craggy surface which cut my arm. I attempted to pry the Crunch off my desk with my Swiss Army Pocket Knife, but the blade snapped closed on my finger, cutting down to the bone. In a daze of confusion I left my bedroom and wandered around the house gushing blood all over the carpet until I stood in front of my sister, who passed out at the sight of all the blood. When she came to we applied paper towels to my hand and it stopped bleeding after 20 minutes. This is my childhood Captain Crunch memory.
