I live west coast of FL nowadays, and there's plenty of delicious northeast and midwest expats catering to other expats, snowbirds, and tourists with delicious Italian everywhere. Even the cheese is locally delicious.

In Florida iguanas and agamas will just fall out of trees when it gets cold and you can pick them up off the ground in the morning. 80 pounds is too big for an iguana though, that's probably an alligator. There's nothing wrong with a restaurant having alligator, it's on the menu at the steakhouse in my town, but 80 pounds seems really small. The restaurant probably has other problems that caused the shutdown.
