No, there's clearly a difference. Fresh cracked pepper is much more fragrant than dried pepper, especially if you have to crack/grind up a lot of the stuff because you're making a big pot of stew or something. That fragrance just doesn't really translate into flavor on the tongue for me.

got it on some amazon sale for 20e, cant say im particularly impressed. the grade is fine and can be easily differentiated between the 7 settings, but it works only with the tiniest of corns, anything medium sized already makes it struggle. the capacity is low, for that (original) price they sure as shit couldve made it larger. filling it is a bitch, im sure there are far better solutions than loading it through the top.
