What are your thoughts on Spanish snacks and appetizers, also known as "tapas"?

i could eat them all day every day and often daydream about moving to catalonia and doing so while sitting outside a bodega watching the sun set

There's a tapas place near me which is fucking awesome. Their portions are actually huge as well, I ordered 3 tapas for around $10-15 each, one of them being grilled octopus, and they gave me these huge octopus arms which would have been enough to fill me on its own. The best thing I ever had from there though was these marinated red peppers stuffed with ground lamb

im a pure spaniard in a non-touristic areas, we order "rations" of tapas for about 4€, but tapas themselves are tiny and free

I love this mexican candy called "Mango Lucas"
it's Sugar, Salt, Citric Acid, and Mango Flavoring, sold and eaten as a powder.

Spanish food is ok. After my trip to Spain I felt I was dying. Too rich, too much oil, no fresh vegetables. The summer tomatoes are nice. the Galician octopus is excellent

The most surprising is the brie with marmelade but I also have to have croquetas, potato with red suace and omelet.

Man, I wish they still stocked that Bascque cider in hypermarkets around here.
It was dry, but didn't have that fermented appleseed aftertaste of dry Normandy ciders. And since it was (almost) still, it didn't bloat me like French/British ciders.

This
I live in Mexico and for some reason they are completely overpriced here. For some reason they are considered and served as luxury/ fancy food when it's supposed to be glorified pub snack. They are supposed to be cheap and fill your stomach while you drink beer.

Same for the wine, I understand that it's not that commonly produced here but the taxes and the positioning makes it ridiculous.
Sipping a glass of barely decent red with an order of 3 pan con tomate Will set you back 15 bucks at least. If you want something fancier it'll be 20-30 bucks which is the price of a very nice meal here.
Makes no sense

Really? That's pretty much everywhere in Spain. Esqueixada would be a greater example.

>Not a single mention of berberechos, navajas or almejas, sobrasada, mojo picón, etc.

I know this is made by an american. Not only most of the examples are deep fried but it does not even include Baleares nor Canarias. It specially shows when they mispell Gambas "À" la plancha.

no mention of pinxos either, no canned marisco, not even bravas. Some hipster graphic design cocksucker from a shared office space in Brooklyn probably shit this out over a lunch time after eating at some $12 small plate tapas bar
