There's a tapas place near me which is fucking awesome. Their portions are actually huge as well, I ordered 3 tapas for around $10-15 each, one of them being grilled octopus, and they gave me these huge octopus arms which would have been enough to fill me on its own. The best thing I ever had from there though was these marinated red peppers stuffed with ground lamb

Spanish food is ok. After my trip to Spain I felt I was dying. Too rich, too much oil, no fresh vegetables. The summer tomatoes are nice. the Galician octopus is excellent

If I had to choose a region, then for me it's Galicia all the way. Polbo á Feira and Callos are just so fucking good. Also, excellent wine and excellent beers. Unironically can't wait to go back again.

Man, I wish they still stocked that Bascque cider in hypermarkets around here.
It was dry, but didn't have that fermented appleseed aftertaste of dry Normandy ciders. And since it was (almost) still, it didn't bloat me like French/British ciders.

I live in Mexico and for some reason they are completely overpriced here. For some reason they are considered and served as luxury/ fancy food when it's supposed to be glorified pub snack. They are supposed to be cheap and fill your stomach while you drink beer.

Same for the wine, I understand that it's not that commonly produced here but the taxes and the positioning makes it ridiculous.
Sipping a glass of barely decent red with an order of 3 pan con tomate Will set you back 15 bucks at least. If you want something fancier it'll be 20-30 bucks which is the price of a very nice meal here.
