I don't know that I understand your question. That said, the US is composed of a number of states, several of which are larger than most European countries. Depending on which state you're in you'll have access to better or worse options for seafood probably.
People tend to say good things about New England seafood. Nobody really says good things about Ohio seafood.
This has more to do with culture / history than with actual supply issues though. Most seafood gets sent away from the US for processing and sent back so it tends not to come from the water you're nearby even if you're in an area known for it. But because there was a time before industrialization where location mattered a lot more areas like New England developed a lot more cooking involving seafood so you get better restaurant seafood still to this day from that area.

Not sure if it's my flyover taste bud genes but unironically,lemon oil + coarse (non-kosher) salt just before you put it on the fire is god tier. Marinades are not really necessary for based salmon and using pans of any sort will mostly ruin it. You can add some garlic and fresh rosemary if you plan on smoking it but that's literally all it needs. I only ever get inventive with herbs and spices or break out the cast iron if the salmon is frozen.

And idk why but it pairs well with feta, more so than any cheese when it's grilled. Grilled salmon and some kind of Greek-style salad is an instant win in my book. Or you could do a feta and herb crusted salmon if it's a frozen pile of shit, you can make it less soul crushing that way.

Fishing and hunting season is planned around by all the workplaces here because they know about 1/3 of their employees are going to disappear for a week whenever some sort of hunting season opens.
