Did you put it in the fridge?
Did you add any additional fat?

It's too cold you fucking idiot. Leave out and it will magically liquify.

The fat has solidified, either from temperature or enough air has whipped it up?

I like to add 8oz of quality salted butter melted to my mix, for every 16oz of ground nuts. Tastes amazing but it will solidify in my fridge.

I put it in the fridge, yes. I thought it was better to keep it there to keep it from spoiling. And I used about a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

>>14249930
Take roasted, skinned, salted peanuts (pic related) and put it in the food processor. Added some vegetable oil.

Then it should turn more runny as you leave it for some time outside the fridge. Peanuts have a lot of monounsaturated fatty acids which solidify in fridge temperatures. You can see the same happen with olive oil if you put it in the fridge.
It should last a fairly long time in room temp, but of course if you don't intend to use it up anytime soon then keeping it in the fridge is probably a good way to prevent it from going rancid.

dropped, peanut butter can and should be made with nothing but peanuts.

>> No.14250255

You don't need to add any additional oil. Peanuts will eventually release their own oils after blended.

Keep it out of the fridge. I have never had issues with homemade cabinet-stored peanut butter spoiling. But it doesn't last long so that could be why.

Try again without using oil and make a small enough batch to leave in the cupboard. A good rule of thumb is that a nut butter will keep as long as the weather whole nut would have kept in the same conditions.
If your home is simply too hot for this, try moving your refrigerator thermometer around to to fin the warmest part of your refrigerator, and store the nut butter there. Some nuts and seeds solidify more than others. Almonds, pistachios, and pepitas all make butters that are spreadable straight from even a cold refrigerator.

Oil and water separate naturally. Real peanut butter must be stirred regularly. The Skippy shit you buy in the store has emulsifier that keeps the peanut butter from separating.
