This is how I am making this stuff.
>6 black tea bags into 2L of water boil for 10 mins
>Add 2 cups to tea when boiling makes it easy
>Pour into 2 gallon GLASS container filled with ice water
>wait till it reaches room temp
>pour in 1.4L of starter liquid aka"ORGINAL KOMBUCHA UNFLAVORED"
>cover with tee-shirt and rubberband it
>wait 7 days and taste, if it taste good its bottling time
>put into bottle with juice (make your own its worth the effort AFAIK)
>wait two days and put into fridge
>consume when cold

Thats it, its so fucking cool and quick, I also read if you add wine yeast after instead of bottling and let it go for anytoher 7-14 days you get 8% abv booch which is mad cool gonna try that next batch!

Here to post my review on the mini kombucha factory process. Very easy and fun process, and a nice bonding activity. It’s definitely worth the wait, checking up on it every now and then and hearing it ferment. Be very careful to not shock the bacteria by maintaining the liquids during the process at room temperature before introducing the bottled bucha! Tastes amazing cold and it’s a perfect summer drink :)

I teach a lot fermentation workshops, specifically wild fermented soda ones (moving online has been annoying). They're great. I might open a bottle later tonight

I've made plenty of beer but never made my own Kombucha. Anyone know if ale yeast would work? Like if I tossed in some good old US05 starter what would happen?
