It's the weekend, guys. You know what that means: alcohol.

Right now, I like a Jack Rose, it's got a lovely taste. The other one is a basic as hell Whiskey Sour with Rye and Maple Syrup that just gets me into gear. At this point, however, I'm considering making a hybrid between both with equal parts rye whiskey, applejack and lime juice, plus half a part of a sweetener, but I'm not sure what. I feel maple syrup might clash with the notes off the applejack and bring the whole thing way down, while grenadine clashes directly with the maple's first few notes and leaves a weird taste of pomegranate into spice that is very unusual to me, and I'm not sure if I like it. I've considered adding triple sec, but that might bring weird notes. I feel maple would be the best one, overall. That said, an applejack+rye manhattan is a godsent, super complex, very nutty, slightly cherryish for some reason even without a cherry garnish.

I just mix rum and grapefruit juice and a little lime/lemon juice together and gulp it down. Do I have autism?

John Daly: half sweet tea vodka, half lemon vodka on the rocks with a splash of water.

Vesper:
3 ounces gin (Gordon's)
1 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce Lillet Blanc (or dry vermouth)
Garnish: lemon peel

I generally prefer the lighter taste of Hendrick’s in place of Gordon’s, and I never sub out Lillet, but this version may be easier to come by

Does it matter what vodka you use? Always wanted to try this but I want to make sure the gin and vodka actually compliment each other.

I like making fruity (usually tropical) drinks with 151 rum in a 3oz glass. Use juice thats already cold so there's less dilution. Shake and pour. Cranberry and pineapple are good at masking the alcohol taste. To get fucked up quick just make a normal sized serving as if you're using 80 proof.

Kina Lillet is the original one, but that's not produced, Lillet Blanc lacks quinine. I suggest Cocchi Americano, rather.

Whichever you pair. The only thing that matters is gin plus a tonic wine.

At the back of the Cosmopolitan in Vegas they have a bar dedicated to the Vesper. The bartender slid me one whilst saying "This is why James Bond was an alcoholic." It truly is a marvel of cocktails, so much alcohol despite not tasting like any. I had two and cut myself off.
