a quality brazil nut is the patrician's nut brother, allow me to break it down for you. known as the humble "nigger toe" this nut will bring lots of laughs when gram grams breaks out her unchecked prejudice inherited from an earlier time. in addition to tasteful racism, this nut is an excellent source of selenium, a critical nutrient. so much so in fact, that one can easily overdose and eating more than seven a day is not recommended. an incredible nut that surely will be indulged in moderation, the brazil nut has a proper hardiness and a smooth buttery flavor that. its mouthfeel is delicate and creamy. truly a nut to behold.

A friend found a craigslist post for some free ground walnuts after a storm so he brought me a grocery bag of them. They seemed to be purely decorative. Covered in piny resin, difficult to open, and no meat inside.

Anyone like to eat the secret almonds inside stone fruits? High in cyanide, but just one at a time isn't enough to kill you.

pistachios are better raw, but walnuts are my second favorite to snack on

why would you ever eat nuts raw? roasted/toasted is the only way to go

>> No.14229423

>>14229235
Walnuts are somewhat soft for a nut so it isn't really necessary. Nothing wrong with roasting if you got the time though.

If anyone likes wallnuts the Georgians make some great dishes with them.
Chuchurella is like a string of walnuts dipped in grape concentrate syrup- they also make some wallnut pattes which are very good.

Also, allow me to remind you that you plebs will never know the joy of laying down under the tree with a bunch of these nuts you just collected from the ground and cracking them open right there, eating them under a refreshing shadow during the hot hours of a sunny summer day!
