The chances of bumping into DNR is astronomically low if you aren't retarded. Hunt big parcels of public land and don't park your truck on the road like an idiot, Drive it as far back on a logging or access road as possible so it's not easily seen. Don't use public treestands (frequently checked by DNR), And when you shoot an animal take the entire animal with you and clean it on your property. Try to leave as quickly as possible after you kill an animal. Hunting thicket is also a good idea because forest dicks take the paths of least resistance.

DNR will look for people's cars then try to find them in the woods to check their loicense, They also usually try to find the source of a gunshot to also check licenses.

It's really not difficult to elude them, They are dumb and lazy. Idk what the penalty of hunting without a license where I live is, But I'm almost certain a guy getting caught for the first time will get a warning. Especially if you're white and you kiss their asses for a few minutes.

I've never aged deer at all. Last year my neighbour gave me about 10 pounds that his son shot. They "aged" it for about 48 hours if that. I don't get the " its gamey" argument at all, tastes pretty much like lamb to me but much better. I hardly season mine, usually cook on wood fire with salt and pepper.
