Honestly, if it's your first, something basic, like an ommelete. some prefer sunny side up. Definitely not hard boiled cuz' that's the shittiest. Fun thing with eggs is it's easy to make an egg taste entirely different.

why the fuck did you never try an egg?

I have eggs for breakfast pretty much every day. It started out as a training thing because I was on a strength program, now it's just a habit. The great thing about having eggs for breakfast though, is that there are so many ways to serve them. Some days I'll make an omelette, some days I'll make fried eggs, some days scrambled eggs, you name it my man, I can do it. I'm the egg man.

If I had to live off of two foods for the rest of my life, it would be eggs and rice. Eggs are versatile and delicious. Rice is the same.

A lot of children don't like runny yolks and prefer their eggs scrambled. As their taste buds mature, some grow to love runny yolk.

I'd suggest you start out as a kid would, with a basic scrambled egg. Serve on toast or make an egg sandwich. Easy and quick and the best intro into the world of eggs. Maybe some day you'll get brave enough to fry an egg and put it on top of whatever it is you're making. Like egg on burger, or ramen or rice.

Now that you know american scrambled, you gotta try french scrambled, country omelet, french omelet, poached, fried, sunny side up, soft boiled, and hard boiled.

You can use these methods to make shakshuka, egg salad, fried eggs on burgers, omurice, eggs benedict, salade nicoise, egg fried rice, ramen, deviled eggs, and this is just the beginning.

Then you can move onto custard, hollandaise, beurre blanc, meringue, quiche/frittata, shirred eggs, carbonara, and the rest of the world of eggs as thickeners and sauces rather than fried on their own. There is so much egg to love. I love egg.

I saved this thread last night before leaving so that I could come back and see how OP did with his egg discovery. I gotta say, it's actually quite wholesome how some anons here were so encouraging and happy to share the love of cooking with OP.

You guys can be so fucking cute sometimes. I love this place. Congrats, OP. You part of the egg-lovers club like the rest of us.
