I eat rice and beans at least twice a week. But what the point of putting stupid labels on it? You cook the food you know whats in it.

>Falafels
>Vegan Kibbeh
>Guacamole
>Chickpeas "meat"balls

Its fucking hard to find vegan recipes that are not shit. Most non-fried vegan meals are horrible IMO.
t. not a vegan, just a guy who is slowly adopting a plant based diet.

Oh yeah, rice and beans.

I eat them almost everyday. But for me a meal is not complete if I don't have a least one more thing in my plate.

This is probably illegal in several countries, but I've been making vegan nachos. Really it's just nachos with vegan faux-cheese, but the thing is it works better than the real cheese I otherwise grate for it (usually cheddar). I don't know what it is, it just accentuates the saltiness of the chips and the avocado and spices in the guacamole better.

>> No.14197842

how would that be illegal?

Probably. I doubt everything I've made contains animal products.

Just eat some real fucking cheese. Also cashews aren't vegan since they cause suffering to the workers who have to shell the nuts (their fingers will turn black from the caustic oil in the nut that is in the same family as poison ivy)

Why is it that vegans can't just appreciate what plants and fungi bring to the table palate wise?

I foraged some asparagus that was cultivated on my land long before I moved there, as well as finding a handful of morels I found in the woods on my homestead.
Fry that in olive oil with a bit of salt and pepper and that's a true vegan meal.

Oh what? That's not satisfying or sustainable? Then eat your rice and beans. I can't eat beans (especially kidney beans, even when soaked overnight or longer and rinsed properly) because they destroy my gut. I can't eat potatoes either for the same reason. I can only have rice in small amounts. The only way I can digest those lectins and nightshades is if I have them in very small, very fermented quantities with a ton of saturated animal fat and meat.

Fuck you for trying to guilt me into eating shit imported from around the world grown in ways I cannot self certify to be ethical. I will raise my livestock and eat them too.

I make cashew and brocolli Seitan once a week. I'm vegan though so all my recipes are vegan.

>> No.14198325

Im vegan but eat pretty streamlined food in terms of social normalcy, only thing I make that dips into "vegan food" per se is seitan if I can find vital wheat gluten, I usually make chinese food with it (peking, sweet and sour etc.) Most of the time I eat/make food from pretty basic ingredients.
