I tried adding Sub Machine Gun and just shot a bunch of Jews in Poland.. Maybe MSG? Joking aside... Umami stuff like mushrooms, seaweed and sardines... Natural MSG.. If a K or J ramen says "No MSG" means they did not add the powdered form.. but they added natural MSG by the boatload. MSG is no more dangerous to humans as salt.. the anti-MSG of the 90's was Karens not knowing science. The I wont drink tap water.. but drink broth with 1000's of natural chemicals in it... do 99.9 percent water.. but broth/starbucks is like 80 percent water.

The fun thing about ramen is that literally everyone has their own way of making it. Really, just add whatever you are craving at the moment you make it and chances are you'll do just fine. Oh, and use chopsticks or be rendered a pleb.

A little pro tip I found for making any ramen better is to make the broth similar egg drop soup. Plus, for all the people who add eggs to their ramen and end up w some rubbery disgusting egg at the bottom, by doing it this way it avoids the chunky gross bit at the bottom you inevetibly end up with by just chucking an egg into it.

The noodles get thicker, the sauce holds better to noodles no matter how cheap, adds a creamy flavour that nicely compliments the ramen.

After, add whatever sauce / oils you like after, and it'll be a lot better than the alternative.
