Before you ask, no, I don't want to blend up some fucking tomatoes. I'm lazy.

I'm not looking for the freshest neapolitan shit anyway, I want to make junk food pizza at home.

What's the best canned sauce?

I'm doing all the other food shit, I just don't want to buy canned tomatoes and have to crush them down myself every week to make sauce. I want something I can pop open and use.

I'm not milking a fucking cow to make mozzarella either, do you want my chef's hat and badge?

Boboli pizza sauce

If you're too lazy to make your own from scratch, you're unlikely to be able to muster the effort to do better than boboli.

It's not traditional, but I'm a fan either Bertolli or Classico Vodka sauce for a quick pizza. It's sweet and creamy, I shake in some cayenne for heat. If it matters to you, it helps the cheese adhere a bit better too, so you can still eat the pizza while it's burn the roof of your mouth off hot, without worrying about it sliding off and burning your chin instead.

You can start with a can of plain tomato sauce and season to taste and simmer for a bit.
Whether or not you want to add fresh onion, garlic and herbs and such is up to you.

>> No.14132748

Just take your favorite local pasta sauce, the one you need to shake because the oil separates and season to taste. If you want fresh without crushing canned tomatoes, not really anything you can do.

then toss in a can of tomato paste and dilute it with a spittake's worth of water from the tap. add a dash of balsamic vinegar you lazy bitch. simmer till you got yourself a sauce.

>Don Pepinos
I bought this because it was on sale for $1 at the time. I'm not picky at all about pre made sauce but the Don really impressed me. I've bought it several times since. The spaghetti sauce is very good as well. A lot of the reviews say it's bland. What they mean is that it's not full of sugar. It doesn't have many seasonings but the sauce tastes very close to freshly made tomato sauce. I always add some oregano and basil.

>> No.14137796

>>14136616
Don pepinos is pretty expensive here, it's like 3.50 a can. I might try it out because it seems like it's the easiest american sauce to get in europe though.

buy an immersion blender. you can blend them right in the can though I prefer to pour them in a bowl first. takes all of ten seconds to do. If you absolutely refuse to do that just buy a can of plain tomato sauce from a good brand and throw some spices in. don't buy any premade bullshit

all I suggested in this thread earlier was just to buy a can of plain sauce if you don't want to use canned tomatoes. throw a few spices in and you're good to go. pizza sauce doesn't need to be cooked so it makes sense to just throw it together as you need it. making it from scratch means you can make it out of shelf stable ingredients you should always have in your pantry anyways. buying the premade sauces is stupid please don't do that
