My wife bought one of this. It has a smoothie program, what can I make that's not overly reddit-tier? I tried frozen bananas/peanut butter/milk/rolled oats and it was pretty good.

The last blender I had didn't have fancy functions, just a knob.
Didn't know smoothies were a thing until yesterday

People on /ck/ will reply with everything other than what you ask for.
Mango and citrus are really good in smoothies. If you want something thicker and more nutritious, try adding unsweetened greek yogurt.
You can't really fuck up smoothies if you're just adding fruits.

For me, there's nothing quite so satisfying as a creamy 'va 'ji 'na smoothie.

actually many men become more aggressive about trying to be viewed as "masculine/manly" as they get older and feel less virile. They can feel their wife's gaze falling on younger more powerful men

The allure of a strapping bull alone can provide a woman with pleasure her husband hasn't or maybe never has provided for her. A proper woman lusts for young, ripe pleasure.

I got one of these for $70cnd... Possibly the deal of the century. It was originally introduced as a "cheaper" alternative to the vitamix 5200, with a MSRP for $300usd. I think oster gave up on competing in that segment, since they cleared almost all of their >1000watt blenders.
People complained that after a few years of heavy use the gaskets along the base of the blades fail... but for whats basically $50usd, i'm fine as long as it lasts longer than 1 year.

Used to work at Whole Foods operating a blender full time to make smoothies. Best one was as follows:

Frozen bananas
Cocoa powder(1 tbsp)
Coconut water (or coconut milk)
Coconut oil (1 tbsp)
Almond butter(1tbsp)
Your choice of protein powder (carogeenan is recommended)

Pack your cup of choice with frozen banana slices and fill the cup to the brim with coconut water/milk. Plop all ingredients into blender. Blend until consistency is creamy. Frozen blueberries can also be added for a fruitier flavor.

Use vegetables. You can make a smoothie that's 50% veg and still offers some sweetness and is much healthier than just like fruit + milk. I do a big one in the mornings and I use water, spinach, tomato, carrot, avocado, apple, banana, berries, and flaxseed.

No smoothie is "reddit" unless you're making it with Soylent or some shit.

Mix whatever you want in there that tastes good. Try mixing different things together. Just remember to aim for a particular flavor profile instead of being totally random.

Good things to have that you can riff with
>leftover coffee
>leftover tea
>dates
>peanut butter
>frozen fruits
>ginger
>milk (regular or plant based)
>protein powder
>carrots
>coconut
>nuts like almonds or walnuts
>cocoa powder
>etc

The only things I would say you NEED to really make a good smoothie are frozen bananas (use instead of ice) and yogurt (adds body, richness, and protein).
I also like to always throw a fistful of some leafy green like kale or spinach in there. They disappear if you don't use too much, and you'll be getting some extra nutrition. Just don't use tender greens like lettuces because they get slimy and weird.

A few of my favorite combos, I always add frozen bananas, yogurt, and leafy greens to these.
>peanut butter + frozen berries = PB&J
>dates + coffee + cocoa powder = candy bar smoothie
>tropical fruits (pineapple/mango) + coconut = pina colada smoothie
>ginger + carrot + oranges = idk but it's refreshing and good
