The superior sandwich can be many things, as long as it involves replacing the bread of a normal sandwich with two grilled cheese sandwiches(the bread and cheese to use depends on interior ingredients)

Off topic, but since I see you like smoked tea with smoked salmon, I highly recommend tea smoked salmon. I adapted it from tea smoked duck. You cold smoke(I just put meat on top of a pot full of ice inside a gas grill while the smoke packet burns on low) salmon with a mix of jasmine rice, jasmine tea, star anise, ginger and orange peels. It's beautiful. Works great for high quality steaks too, searing them after the cold smoking.

My fav sandwich is the amerimutt deluxe. It takes a fair amount of preparation, but it's worth it in the end.

It's best to catch your amerimutt live, rather than buying it in the shop. What I like to do is go down to the nearest tourist trap and see if I can spot one in the wild. You can usually identify them by their oversized appearance, their loud and confused attempts at communication, and their love of all things related to guns and Israel. The smaller ones can typically be strapped to the top of your car, the larger amerilard variety will need a suitably bigger mode of transportation - which may mean hiring a truck.

First, take your amerimutt and slay it in your backyard. Careful not to wake the neighbours - they'll want some too! Take only those parts you need for the amerimutt deluxe, the rest can be preserved for later. Fry your amerimutt with only a small amount of oil, then stick three slices of bread in the toaster to make it nice and crunchy. On the first slice put your fried amerimutt with some lettuce + tomato + mayo. Put the second slice on top. On the second slice put some bacon and cheese. I recommend American cheese to give it an authentic touch. What the hell, squirt some ketchup on there. Throw the third slice on top and garnish with peanut butter and jelly.

Voila. The amerimutt deluxe!

Wash it down with an ice cold beverage and smoke a cigarette, you've just eaten one of the world's foremost delicacies.

Difficult to pick just one so I'm going to list a few:

- The leftover Christmas dinner sandwich consisting of turkey thigh meat, thin layer of stuffing, shredded sprouts, cranberry/bread sauce/gravy, roasted carrots and a couple of pigs in blankets/devils on horseback.

- The roast beef sandwich consisting of thinly sliced medium rare beef, freshly grated horeseradish, raw onion slices, green bell pepper and perhaps some dill/anise seeds.

- The roast lamb sandwich consisting of slices of roast lamb, tahin sauce, cumin, shredded red cabbage, roasted garlic, spring onion , homemade tomato sauce and pickled peppers

I don't know about best but I'll throw out a sandwich that I've never seen in these threads. When I was young my mom used to make linguica sandwiches. It's a relatively spicy, smoked Portuguese sausage. We'd prick it with a fork and boil it a bit to remove some excess fat, then slice lengthwise and fry in a pan until well-browned and crispy. Toast some buns under the broiler, then add your sausage and your favorite melty cheese and broil until it's bubbly and the buns are toasty and brown. Pull it out, and layer on some sliced dill pickles. It never needed a condiment, and the heat and fattiness and acidity was really well balanced. Would recommend.
