Basically, the crabs rip off their own limbs to sell the meat. Mr. Krabs buys the meat, makes burguers out of it and sell it at his restaurant.

Probably nothing, or whatever the "meat" is made out of. There is no surface meat in Bikini Bottom (cows, pigs, whatever) and they deliberately never portray seafood as edible to the residents of Bikini Bottom.
