>roommate makes cookies and shares
>about to wash the cookie sheet, least I can do
>”no bro just leave it like it that adds more flavor to the next batch”
How does one respond to this

>> No.14098329

Just leave it. There's no crazy ingredient like milk or some shit, and it's pretty much sanitized from baking at a high temp.

Suck his dick, bro. It's not gay if he gave you cookies first.

The logic makes sense for frying or grilling (on same day stuff like hamburger meat in bacon grease), not so much baking.

You don't.

Any time someone has an irrational belief, you can only:
>Ignore it
>Ask genuine questions to understand thier belief and hope they come to a better conclusion on thier own

Use option number 2 only for big matters with important people, like a significant other's stance on family.

For something as minor as a fucking baking sheet, just ignore it. It doesn't matter.
If you tell him he's wrong and that it doesn't work like that, he'll only get defensive, which will make him like you less. If you try to understand his position and have him educate you on something as stupid as that, you're just wasting your own time, and people rarely change their minds.

90% of what people believe in a daily basis has no impact to thier ability to survive, you included. Just let it go. Let many things go. Your aunt is into essential oils? Too, bad; it's not worth a fight.

People believe what they want to believe and will twist reality to align with that fact. No one wants to be wrong. You will meet people every day who are wrong on the most basic of shit. If you want to have a bond with them, you're just going to have to deal with it. You cannot change someone's mind. You only can affect someone's mood, and challenging someone's belief is going to put them in a bad mood even if you're 100% clearly correct.

Do not respond.

No, it's not. People just don't really listen to low IQ beta losers. The poster is talking about one of these losers realizing no one likes their undeserved smugness about inane bullshit.

This, arguing with people who aren't open to your ideas is the biggest waste of time in human life. This is especially true with drunks

Next time he leaves, completely scrub and clean the baking sheet with Bar Keepers Friend to establish dominance.
