Sprinkle some sugar and ground cinnamon plus nutmeg on it and then stick it under the broiler for a bit. Slice it into squares.

Too much butter/oil.

Let me guess, you melted the butter and made it hot then mixed it into the batter right away?

Try leaving your butter to cool for ten fifteen minuits before mixing it with the rest and also place the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minuits.

Umm, hello, butter department?

>> No.14078068

Let your dough sit in the fridge for a while before baking next time.

I'm not sure about that, I think it's just he baked them as soon as the dough was done. For optimal cookies you need to shape the balls and freeze them first before baking them.

Basically regular chocolate chip cookies with 3 cups of raw rolled oats in them. It’s like 1/3 oats. If it’s good enough for a racehorse, it’s good enough for my squirts.

Oats extra. Regular batch of cookies with 3 cups of raw oats added to the end. I added nothing to compensate for the additional oats. These are cookies for my children. They are happy they have chocolate in them. I am happy they stay in the freezer and they take a good 20 minutes for a kid to get through one. Just sitting there gnawing at frozen hunks of oatmeal because there’s chocolate in there somewhere. Good times.

it may also be that your oven is shit and that you were effectively cooking this 100-200f instead of the usual 375
